Our latest project – replacement of two split systems with one ducted for a house at Rozelle.
Two wall mounted split systems were installed around 15-20 years ago and the client was wondering if it's possible to fit the ducted system in the roof cavity during the light renovation works. That was a two storey house and the only place for the indoor unit was in the space above the ceiling in the master bedroom but the tricky part was to get the cold air downstairs as well. Luckily the original builders ran the flexible ductwork inside the walls from upstairs to the downstairs for the purpose of the ducted air con in the future and we were able to connect our new flexible ductwork to the existing one and installed the linear wall grill downstairs in the living area.
The outdoor unit is mounted on the wall brackets in the courtyard. Also you can see two mini wall mounted grills for two small bedrooms upstairs.
For that project we installed a Daikin ducted system with a capacity of 8.5kw to be efficient to serve both areas up and down stairs.
